THE POP EXPOSE 'RIP Little Richard' By Mitchell Smith!
Richard Wayne Penniman best known as Little Richard passed away on May 9th. Little Richard was born in 1932 in Georgia. He was the 3rd of 12 children. He got the name Lil’ Richard as a child because he was skinny and had a small frame. Richard struggled in school but got involved in music at a young age. He started performing and was given the name Little Richard while playing with Buster Brown’s Orchestra.

Little Richard as a child and teen would make a lot of noise especially singing very loudly which did not go over well with many people. As a professional singer he was a pioneer in the birth of Rock & Roll. Songs like “Tutti Fruity” and “Good Golly Miss Molly” is what Richard was born for. The 50’s were a transitional time in music and the loud upbeat sound Little Richard was making paved the roads for Rock & Roll. Richard had a lifelong career in music and made many memorable appearances on tv shows such as Full House, Bay Watch, and The Drew Carey Show.

In 1986 he was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Richard was a huge influence on so many people and so many different cultures. He was a pioneer and an innovator. He will be missed in the music industry and will be missed around the world. Rest In Peace Little Richard.

I can't pick a favorite Little Richard song i love them all so much, Long Tall Sally is epic, Lucille epic, good golly miss molly iconic. Dude was one of the reasons i started playing the piano, very sad that he's gone but his music will live on forever.
